Press Release: InnovationForce Selected For EPRI Incubatenergy® Labs Project

InnovationForce Selected For EPRI Incubatenergy® Labs Project with Utilities Learning Strategies to Accelerate and Scale Innovation

RALEIGH, NC. InnovationForce today announced it was selected for its first 16-week Incubatenergy® Labs (IEL) project. The company’s AI-enabled SaaS platform InnovationWorks™ accelerates the process of innovating by measuring performance and team collaboration. Through the project, Fortis Inc and Portland General Electric (PGE) are learning strategies and testing new technologies to accelerate and scale their innovation programs.

In its fifth year, EPRI’s IEL is built for startups to engage EPRI and energy companies in demonstration projects. The program connects companies leading the advancement of electrification, decarbonization, and grid modernization with energy stakeholders to demonstrate and scale those innovations.

“InnovationForce was selected from a competitive field of startups to demonstrate their technology platform with Incubatenergy Labs member utilities,” said Dan Killoren, program lead for IEL. “InnovationForce will use its platform to help facilitate collaboration among the cohort on how to standardize the innovation process and report the best performance data, KPIs, and benchmark learnings. IEL projects aim to demonstrate how their creative solutions may help advance global clean energy goals.”

“We are incredibly honored to work with this cohort led by Fortis Inc and PGE through EPRI’s Incubatenergy Labs program,” says Kim Getgen, CEO and Founder of InnovationForce. “The EPRI Incubatenergy® Labs program is a game changer for InnovationForce. By connecting breakthrough startups to the utilities wanting to adopt technology faster, IEL removes the traditional barriers to entry that often prevent early-stage startups from succeeding in the energy industry. Our platform's positive response is a testament to the urgent need utilities face to innovate and lead the clean energy transition in a safe, affordable, and reliable way.”

The findings from the cohort will be featured in a playbook of learnings that other energy providers may use to accelerate their own innovation programs. Utilities interested in joining the next cohort can schedule a demo to learn more.
