Kim Getgen Joins the Grid Mod Pod to Talk about Embracing Innovation

Kim Getgen was invited to join AEIC (Association of Edison Illuminating Companies)'s Elizabeth Cook, PhD on the Grid Mod Pod where we swapped war stories on one of our favorite topics: innovation!

One key takeaway: New ideas are fragile. When a big idea strikes, it’s tempting to jump straight to the solution. But if the challenge isn’t clearly articulated, it’s tough to bring peers along. Especially in the energy industry where these engineering problems are complex and complicated.

What I've learned is a good challenge statement can set innovation up for success by grounding everyone in the "why" behind the problem you’re solving… without a north star, it's easy to lose momentum.
