InnovationForce selected for EPRI Incubatenergy Labs Pitch Day

RALEIGH, NC and PALO ALTO, Calif. InnovationForce, The first SaaS company to accelerate the process of innovating by making team collaboration more visible and measurable, has been selected to participate in Incubatenergy® Labs Pitch Day, a program created by EPRI to link startups with energy providers on collaborative innovation projects. InnovationForce helps businesses across industries better collaborate to make innovation happen faster by reducing time-to-decision and increasing team collaboration, and is focused on the energy industry as utilities strive to meet 2030 decarbonization mandates.

“Given the urgency of climate issues, we’re seeing the need for utilities to accelerate their pace of innovation now to meet the clean energy needs of tomorrow,” said Kim Getgen, CEO and Founder of InnovationForce. “We’re excited to be a part of Incubatenergy 2023 event where the down-select to present was made by utilities. InnovationForce was founded by innovation managers in the utility space who understand the unique challenges of innovating inside these highly complex, highly regulated organizations. We saw an opportunity to help the industry meet decarbonization goals faster by empowering frontline innovators inside the utility who are closest to the challenges the utility must solve.”

Incubatenergy® Labs is built for startups to engage EPRI and electric power utilities in paid demonstration projects. A utilities summit and collaborative demonstrations program in one, the program connects startups leading the advancement of electrification, decarbonization and grid modernization with utilities from around the world that have the capacity and desire to demonstrate and scale those innovations. New for 2023, startups now have the possibility of demonstrations in the US, Canada, Europe, South America, or Latin America.

“We’ve structured the program to give startups maximum exposure to energy providers so that the results of a successful demonstration with one provider may turn into opportunities with many,” said Dan Killoren, Program Lead for Incubatenergy Labs. “Our team of EPRI subject matter experts is looking forward to the demonstration projects InnovationForce and others will share on Pitch Day that have the potential to provide sustainable and equitable access to energy around the world.”

The pitch event will be held on March 9, 2023 at the headquarters of Arizona Public Service (APS) with attendees representing 15 IEL utility members, innovation scouts, and EPRI staff. Each participating startup will present a 5-minute pitch about their company, technology, and proposed project, followed by Q&A with a group of utilities and EPRI.

InnovationForce will be pitching in the Workforce of the Future category, where the Incubatenergy team is looking for technology that drives smarter operations through asset monitoring tools, equipment, analytics, and AI to improve operational safety and customer experience. InnovationForce is helping utilities like Portland General Electric (PGE) make innovation decisions 85% faster to ultimately help deliver carbon-free energy by 2030.
